In recent years Alistair Cook has begun to specialise in the periodicals industry, helping to produce both consumer and subscription-only magazines, as well as in-house or customer newsletters for organisations large and small. Alistair's own credentials stretch back as far as working for the Western Daily Press whilst only two years out of art college, via Pergamon Press in Oxford to newsletters and magazines put out by clients in London such as the British Insurance and Investment Brokers Association, Oracle Teletext and Thames Publishing International. His success with such a diverse range of titles came not just from his graphics and organisational layout abilities, but also from his competence in the English language. Many an editor or marketing director has been thankful for the added value of his sub-editing and proof-reading skills.
